I honestly think these lower-price alternatives are just as good as high-end makeup for regular use. (this is the order I put them on)
FIT me by maybelline. This is the best foundation I've ever tried.
Target has the lowest price I've seen for it. I have dry skin, so it's difficult for me to even wear foundation with out looking crackley, but this suits my face better than anything else I've used. I'm not a tools girl, so I put a few dots of this on each part of my face (forehead, cheek, tip of nose, cheek, chin) and gently apply it with my fingertips in a patting sort of motion. You want it to remain on the surface of your skin.
I am NOT a Covergirl fan persay, but this is my favorite concealer. This does its job. I will probably never convert to another product. I apply it in an upside-down triangle under each eye, at the corners of the nose, and on any blemishes. I first dot it on then pat it on with my fingertips.
This is my MUST HAVE splurge. I will not wear eyeshadow or liner without it. I haven't tried any other high-end shadow primers because they don't have as good of a price, but I've tried a couple drug store primers and threw them away! Also pat this onto the eyelids with finger tips don't rub or smear!!
I'm not a bronzer girl, so this is the only powder I use. It's fantastic, and if I were you I would buy the elf one. It's just as good as the much, much MUCH pricier duplicates. I use any fluffy brush. I don't believe it matters for basic makeup application.
As far as eye shadows go... I like to splurge on urban decay shadows. I'm currently loving Cherry Bomb. by ulta I don't think a girl should buy the same eyeshadow twice though! This is something that goes along with the phrase, "variety is the spice of life"
I rarely wear lip color, but when I do, its usually lipbalm like Baby Lips!!
